What Does a Youth Ambassador Do?

As an ambassador, you will help us spread the word about the event at your school and in your local community. This can include contributing to our newsletters/website (i.e. blog posts), making awesome videos to share with your peers, or as simple as speaking with your friends and sharing what we do on your social media networks. We want to get the word out about TEDxYouth@Toronto, and we need your help to do it!

As this year’s conference takes place on November 16th, 2013, general applications will open in early September; we encourage you to get the word out to your fellow students within the first couple weeks of school.

What are the Benefits of a Youth Ambassador?

All selected TEDxYouth@Toronto Youth Ambassadors will be guaranteed a spot as an attendee at this year’s event, and will also be presented with a Youth Ambassador certificate.  In addition, the articles, posts or videos you create about TED and TEDxYouth@Toronto may be featured on our blog and social media.  There may be other perks involved, but that is to be announced!

Note: If you are selected to join the YA program, there will be one mandatory meeting on September 7th (time TBD) so please keep that date open. Once applicants are selected, we will notify the ambassadors on the details of the orientation as early as possible.

What happens if I am not selected as a Youth Ambassador?

General attendee applications for TEDxYouth@Toronto 2013 open early-September and we encourage you to reapply at that time!

Note: This application form is only for the Youth Ambassador program.
